Home sales jump as CALA snowballs towards its targets

This year, CALA announced record sales, record revenues, and record profits, despite reducing its average sold price from £538,000 to £497,000.

The number of properties it built and completed on leapt to 1,677 – a 46% increase on the previous year. Revenues rose by 20% to £700 million, and it announced in June 2017 that it would make record profits. CALA is honing in rapidly on its target to build 2,500 homes and achieve revenues of £1 billion by 2020.

It has spent heavily on its land bank this year, snapping up land in prime locations as it has become available under the government’s National Planning Policy Framework.
